AGOS Japan is a leading provider of test preparation and academic counseling products and services. Here is a brief explanation of what we offer to prospective clients.
As a leading provider of TOEFL(R)TEST courses in Japan, we offer both strategy and practice courses across all 4 elements of the TOEFL(R)TEST test: reading, listening, speaking and writing. Most courses are taught in Japanese, excluding the speaking courses which are taught primarily in English. Grading services that are offered in most of our writing and speaking courses are provided by our native-English speaking instructors. We offer our courses live in our Shibuya offices, or via stand-alone online courses which can be studied entirely off-site. We additionally teach many university-based programs throughout the greater Tokyo area for students aiming to study abroad. Finally, we have a stand-alone comprehensive TOEFL(R)TEST course taught entirely in English.
We offer a range of strategy-building and practice courses for all aspects of the GMAT(R) and GRE(R)TEST tests at our offices in Shibuya, or online for customers anywhere in the world. All courses are taught in Japanese, except for the GMAT(R) AWA classes, which are taught and graded in English. Private tutoring is also available on an individual basis.
All of our comprehensive SAT(R) courses are taught in English and are designed for high school students from both domestic and international schools who aim to gained admittance to US universities and schools around the world. Most of our SAT(R) clients stay with us through the application process in our counseling department (below), as we offer unique courses related to writing college essays as well as 1 on 1 counseling with experienced academic counselors.
We have a range of services for people applying to a range of programs, including graduate level programs (mostly MBA, LLM, IR and PP programs) and also applicants to both undergraduate and doctoral programs. Our 1 to 1 client-counselor sessions are offered in-person, or via telephone/skype, and follow-up sessions can be done via e-mail. They can be broken down into three discreet areas:
We help our clients assess their personal/professional and academic background as well as their future, post-graduate direction. We also aid in mapping out a schedule that incorporates both test preparation and application planning milestones, and advise on how to determine fit between programs and their overall school selection.
We offer clients high-level advice on how to maximize the effectiveness of their application documents. As an ethical admissions advisor, we do not offer rewriting or editing services. Rather, we provide our clients with an experienced voice and strong understanding of the admissions process, helping them ensure their application strategy is as strong as it possibly can be.
Our interview preparatory services is primarily for MBA-track clients, and focuses on two areas: developing strategies to help clients learn how to put their best foot forward in interviews, and offering mock interview practice sessions to ensure they are prepared for the real thing.
